CCL is delighted to announce that, with effect from 21st December 2020, we have been awarded Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status for Customs Simplification by HMRC.
AEO status is an internationally recognised quality mark that shows that CCL’s operations and customs control procedures meet the stringent AEO quality standards and criteria. In order to assess the company, CCL’s business processes and procedures, finances and record-keeping were scrutinised in a stringent process, and were deemed efficient and compliant in every respect. We are all the more proud for having made the grade in 2020, the most challenging of years.
Being AEO accredited for Customs Simplification means our clients can expect to benefit in several ways, including:
Faster application processes for, and easier access to customs simplifications and authorisations
A lower risk score, which can reduce the number of checks customs need to carry out on documents and goods
A guarantee waiver up to the level of CCL’s deferment account.
